Abstract— The purpose of the article is to examine the impact Artificial Intelligence Technology has on families in income-based housing programs and services provided by social workers and case managers. Living conditions for low-income African Americans have been difficult throughout history and Social Workers have been given the task of ensuring a continuum of services within micro, mezzo, and macro settings. While mobile and computing technologies have been widely used in the delivery of social services, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has yet to fully be explored in this application. This article explores the utilization of AI and Immersive Technology for the provision of social service delivery, data collection and sharing, and the allowance for data availability Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, global civil unrest, and limited access to necessary resources, Social Workers lack the knowledge of culturally appropriate and effective uses of advanced technology in the application of evidence-based practice and interventions in the delivery of ongoing services to Black families. AI and Immersive Technology can assist family participants with the inclusion of simulation modules and continued work research toward the application of evidence-based theories such as the Social
Learning Theory.
